Position Description: This position is responsible for the entire upholstery process

  • Fit, install, and secure material on frames, using hand tools, power tools, glue, cement, or staples
  • Measure and cut new covering materials, using patterns and measuring and cutting instruments, following sketches and design specifications
  • Build furniture with loose fiber stuffing, cotton, felt, or foam padding to form smooth rounded surfaces
  • Make, restore, or create custom upholstered furniture, using hand tools and knowledge of fabrics and upholstery methods
  • Read work orders, and apply knowledge and experience with materials to determine types and amounts of materials required to cover work pieces.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5-10 years as an upholsterer
  • Pictures of past work are a bonus so quality work can be seen

Physical Characteristics: The position requires the following:

  • Eyes or glasses/contacts can see normally for fine details of production
  • Hand and eye coordination when using sharp cutting tools
  • Long periods of standing at work stations on concrete floors. Some accommodations can be made.

The Executive Assistant provides executive and administrative support to the Office of the CEO. The dynamic candidate we seek will be organized, detail-oriented, flexible, creative, forward-thinking, committed, and passionate about his/her work. Confidentiality and discretion is essential. The candidate must be extremely professional and possess great communication skills. Due to the visibility of the position, the candidate needs to work well with all levels of company staff, as well as executives and support staff in high-profile partner organizations. Responsibilities – A broad range of administrative tasks for the CEO including:

  • Managing an extremely active calendar of appointments
  • Direct communication with clientele through voice, email, and written correspondence
  • Coordinating and arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas
  • Compiling briefing documents, including special research as needed
  • Responsible for meeting schedules and all associated logistics, including offsite meetings
